ABOUT US

SIM Design is an award winning studio based in Taipei, Taiwan. Founded in 2016, Kimmy was recruited by university friend Gigi to grow the second generation portfolio of the family business. SIM is named after the the Tainwanese/Hokkein sound for heart (心）. The name represents the key principle of the studio - design with heart - in the shared language of Kimmy's birthplace, Singapore, and new home in Taiwan.

SIM is the design team for toddler brand mero (lovemero.jp). Through mero we share our love of design culture into the baby and kids category. Each piece of meroware exists to spark joy for parents during busy days of raising children.

Our mission is product design that is affordable, approachable, authentic, and emotional. As big believers in design thinking we use a empathic process to address daily questions in our designs to create products that are beautiful yet practical.

We share our hearts through our designs and have fun doing it!
